Vision Null Stern Hotel – where the essence of hospitality can be expressed and experienced Mission Statement Null Stern Hotel – where the only star is you Null Stern Hotel is an invention by the Swiss concept artists Frank and Patrik Riklin from the Atelier für Sonderaufgaben (studio for special works) in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Daniel Charbonnier, co-founder of Minds in Motion, SA, an international hospitality advisory and services firm, also based in Switzerland, has partnered with Frank and Patrik Riklin to transform this concept into a worldwide business opportunity. The “Null Stern experience” is tailored to fulfill guest priorities, needs and expectations through innovative, value-oriented and functional lodging. Null Stern Hotel finds its roots and values at the core of today’s world of changing economic, ecological and social environments. The objective is to offer a “second life” to real estate locations by transforming them into profitable, sustainable and community-oriented business opportunities. The Null Stern spirit not only embodies Freedom and Independence by using existing resources but also involves members of the local community at every level. Our driving force stems from placing “Guests” and “Change” at the center of a continuous creative process. Null Stern Hotel extends the scope of hospitality to another dimension through the dynamic cooperation between the art and hospitality worlds which has given birth to the brand Null Stern – the only star is you. Accommodation The Null Stern Hotel can host 14 guests in a configuration of 6 single beds and 4 double beds – each bed “a room without a wall”. Bed linen is provided. Larger groups (from 14 people) can also be accommodated in an adjacent room highlighting original military-style bunk-beds. Bed categories Luxury – traditional hotel beds from closed-down hotels in the region with new mattresses, available in single or double; CHF 30 per person per night. First Class – beautiful antique beds from private households with new mattresses, available in single bed; CHF 25 per person per night. Standard – genuine military bunk beds (available for large groups only); CHF 10 per person per night. Prices include all applicable taxes as well as complimentary morning tea or coffee served bedside (upon your request) at your preferred time by the gracious "Modern Butler". Opening hours Suggested check-in time: 17:00 CET to 19:00 CET, Check-out until 10:00 CET or with prior notification. Additionally, the Null Stern Hotel is show-cased as a museum with visiting hours between 14:00 and 17:00 CET from Wednesday to Sunday. Admission charge: CHF 5 per person.
